Description

We are searching for a research attorney to immediately step into a research, writing and support role for our busy litigation practice. The ideal candidate will handle a wide variety of research and writing projects, including motions, appeals, memo drafting and declaratory judgment/policy review. The ideal candidate must have an aptitude for research and writing, be a critical thinker able to handle multiple cases and enjoy reviewing and analyzing case law and opinions, developing legal arguments, drafting persuasive motions, memorandums of law, and briefs, and advocating a position before state and federal court judges. Candidates will work closely with trial attorneys to support litigation efforts, trials and preserving issues for appeal. The position may be located in Champaign or partially remote depending on the candidate.

Requirements

Technical Requirements:

• Law Degree
• Licensed in Illinois
• 3+ years of experience of legal research or writing
• 2 writing samples
